Privacy Policy & Terms of Service

Rut Roh's Automation ("the Application") helps authorized channel owners create and publish video content. We respect user privacy and comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, YouTube Terms of Service, and Amazon policies.

Data We Access

• Google OAuth tokens to upload videos, manage metadata, and read channel identifiers.
• YouTube channel metadata (channel ID, title) for authorization checks and status badges.
• Amazon Product Advertising API responses (product titles, prices, links) to populate scripts and video descriptions.

How We Use the Data

• Render and upload videos to the exact channel the owner selects.
• Populate titles, descriptions, and affiliate links according to channel settings.
• Verify that uploads only occur when the authorized channel ID matches the configured channel.

Storage & Security

• OAuth credentials are stored as JSON files under build/credentials*.json on the server; they are never committed to source control.
• API keys are kept in encrypted Heroku config and a local .env that is git-ignored.
• Video artifacts are stored on ephemeral disk and rotated when new renders are produced.

Data Retention & Deletion

• OAuth tokens are retained only while uploads are required; deleting build/credentials*.json or revoking access removes our ability to call the APIs.
• To request deletion of rendered media or cached data, email jeff.rutman@gmail.com and we will purge the content within 30 days.

Revoking Access

Users can revoke Google permissions anytime at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. After revocation, visit the channel page in the admin panel and re-authorize to restore functionality.

Limited Use & Sharing

• We comply with Google's Limited Use requirements. OAuth data is used solely to operate the Application and is never sold or shared with third parties.
• Access to the Application is restricted to the channel owner and explicitly authorized collaborators.

Terms of Service

1. The Application may only be used by authorized channel owners or their delegates.
2. Users must ensure they have the rights to any media uploaded through the Application.
3. Users agree to comply with YouTube's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and all Google API policies.
4. The Application is provided "as-is" without warranty. Rut Roh Inc. is not responsible for strikes, takedowns, or account issues arising from misuse.
5. Users must not redistribute generated data, credentials, or access tokens without permission.
